Puneet & Lakshna

How They Met: Their journey began on Dil Mil in November 2022. Despite living on opposite sides of the country — Lakshna in Los Angeles (LA) and Puneet in Atlanta — they quickly grew fond of each other through phone and video calls. In January 2023, Puneet flew to LA, and they met for the first time on January 14, 2023, coincidentally during the auspicious day of "Pongal" (Tamil harvest festival). They spent a memorable week together exploring Joshua Tree National Park, attending a Lakers game, and enjoying Disneyland and beaches in LA.

After eight months of long-distance, Lakshna moved to Atlanta to be closer to Puneet and her family. In early 2024, they embarked on their first international trip together to Paris, London, and Belgium. Unbeknownst to Lakshna, Puneet had planned a surprise proposal in Paris, inspired by her favorite childhood movie, "Jeans," set in the city. He arranged a romantic setup at their hotel overlooking the Eiffel Tower, complete with red heart balloons and rose petals.

The Proposal: During breakfast at a nearby café and a visit to a flower shop, Puneet coordinated with a photographer to capture the moment. Back at the hotel, amidst the surprise decorations, Puneet proposed with a custom-designed ring. Overjoyed, Lakshna immediately said yes. They spent the rest of the trip celebrating their engagement before returning home to plan their wedding in 2025.
